The last leaf of the year
One of the leaves in this pic could very well be it - the last Wawa leaf of year 2009. On Saturday morning, we woke up to find the trees naked and the garden cozily dressed in layers upon layers of autumn clothes.
Toshia wasn't very impressed with the scene. She found the piles difficult to walk in and the mere sitting there uneventful. She also didn't think much of dad's and my hard work of collecting the leaves and putting them in the garbage can and then in cardboard boxes stapled on top of the garbage can.
Personally, I think she was a being a bit unfair. No, as a matter of fact, completely unreasonable. Really, what is there not to love about all this beauty? I tried my very best to make up for her lack of excitement.
I exclaimed my joy about the abundance, the sounds, the willingness of the leaves to fly. You know, the whole thing. Did I exaggerate? You may say I did, but I think it's important to work towards a stable equilibrium for the family as a whole.
