The Philippines in Poland

December in Poland is quite similar to December in the Philippines. Apart from the weather. Oh, and even if they try hard here, they don't quite make it all the way with the Christmas decorations. (On the other hand, I've heard that even the most ambitious decoration parts of the US fail to match the Philippines.)

In our family, we're trying hard to retain this part of our filipino heritage. At least when it comes to the Christmas tree. There are several mottos, the most central ones being: Proudly plastic! and More is more! I'm not allowed to touch the capice decorations, as they tend to break even when I'm handling them with utmost care. The star and moon that I made in school, however, I'm allowed to move around and admire also physically.
