Poland in Sweden

After St:a Lucia, but before Christmas, we packed our bags (with loads and loads of stuff) and took a weekend trip to Stockholm. Stockholm's where I formally reside, but this was my very first time there. Great people and I'm sure the place per se is lovely place in summer...

We hung out with Nicke and Emely (you know, my uncle on dad's side and his girlfriend who came down to visit us in Warsaw just a couple of weeks before) and Kia and Fredrik (my aunt on dad's side and her boyfriend, neither of whom I'd ever met before). Now that I've had a chance to see and evaluate all my uncles and aunts, I must say I've hit a jackpot. Very pleasant people, all five of them, and their respective partners as well!
Mom and dad were a bit sloppy with the camera during the Stockholm visit, please imagine that this is a pic of Kia instead. (Think of dad and Nicke and then just feminize them.) And while you're at it, please imagine Emely and Fredrik in the picture as well. Grandma came by as well, which triggered Adam to ask about Grandma's dog Ellie about four hundred times. Despite the fact that we did meet Ellie the night before, at Kia and Fredrik's. We should really schedule a trip to Ellies natural habitat, at Grandma's. That may enhance my dog fascination, which at this point is very limited. As most things in my life still, the trip involved a lot of novelties. For example, I'd never had dinner with the Apasidiz-Bolander family before. Actually, neither had mom, dad or Adam. At least not with the family as it looks today. Last time they met, Alexander wasn't even born yet and now he's a year and a half! I almost got to meet them this summer, though. They drove down to visit us, but by the time they'd passed the bridge over to Öland, I was on my way out and they were asked to turn back.
Adam was quite smittened by Alexander. (And by posing for Axel's camera.)Me, I was quite smittened by Katja (who mom and dad have known for as long as they have known each other. Exactly.). She was nice and pretty and completely shared my sense of humour. At least she got me to laugh a lot.

Alas, I don't have any recent photos to show you of Anna and Viktoria, mom's friends with whom her and I had lunch while Adam and dad were out to get the stroller fixed (it broke during the flight). But please imagine the right one, Anna, very very pregnant and the left one, Viktoria, just quite pregnant. And none of the wearing sunglasses in the December dark and drizzle.
